Calling all raw chocolate lovers, hear yee, hear yee; If you would love to be able to take 6 simple ingredients, turn them into the most delicious chocolate treat ever, and do it in less than 10 minutes this recipe is perfect for you!

I suggest printing this recipe out and pinning it up to your fridge because I am sure you will be making it on a regular basis. Make it with your children, and enjoy it as a healthy dessert alternative! If you want a chocolate free version use carob powder, or lucuma powder (for a blonde version) instead of the chocolate (you may want to reduce the sugar a bit because carob and lucuma are both already slightly sweet).

The following is a simple and simply delicious recipe - perfect for this season while we still have an abundance of strawberries available. Use it on your favorite yogurt, ice cream, fruit salad....the possibilities go on, on and on. I first created this recipe when playing with raw ice creams and ice cream sunday’s. When I tasted this strawberry sauce the carefree fun feelings of childhood were instantly re-awakened throughout every cell of my being! It’s so easy and so good. I hope you try it out for yourselves and love the outcome as much as I have!

If you are like me you always loved a creamy latte drink to start off your day, or any time of day for that matter. Now that I don’t drink the caffeine, don’t want the sugar, soy milk and artificial flavors served up at most cafe’s (not to mention most of those drinks were way too sweet for my taste buds) I have fallen in love with my home made, vegan and herbal version. Not only is it caffeine free but it has an herbal backbone (which could be any herbal tea infusion you love) giving it a nutritive and tonic chemistry. It is perfectly sweet, creamy, frothy, warm and really easy to make – highlighting the wonderful quality that hemp seeds have of not needing to be strained! This warming morning elixir changes with my mood and often the season. When it’s really cold I like making an herbal chai base which provides deep internal warmth with the use of fresh ginger, cinnamon, black pepper and other warming spices. Lately I have been really into a carob mocha, which features the coffee flavor extract from Medicine Flower, a completely caffeine free organic, cold pressed flavor extract providing aromatic coffee flavor notes for those who like me LOVE the flavor, but not how the drink leaves me feeling……This extract is AMAZING stuff to say the least, and the drink perfectly divine in my humble opinion!!!

Here’s how I make it:

Mince and then pound with mortar and pestle to make a curry paste:

  • 1 stalk lemongrass
  • 3-5 Thai Green Chilis
  • 1 shallot
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2" long slice of galangal
  • 2 tsp toasted corriander
  • 2 tsp toasted cumin
